robertcornell68
Struggled to an extra time win over a non-league team at home in the Cup. Team talk = good result but poor performance. Players = me = I've only ever used this three times and each time had a mutiny on my hands. Is it ever safe to use? Or should I bin it along with "delighted" and "don't get complacent"? teej9
Yeah, I have had the same problem, I'm pretty sure it's lumped into the group of "never touch this team talk. Ever."
5legend
i find don't get complacent quite useful when on a winning streak, so i don't know why you would bin it
telV7
Is it ever safe to use? Or should I bin it along with "delighted" and "don't get complacent"? I have used it several times and not had any dramas that I am aware of, i.e, no players coming out complaining of team talks etc " don't get complacent" I have used as well, with mixed results, sometimes it works other times it doesn't. My definition of working btw is if we can manage to hold our lead

milnerpoint
yeah i use this one quite a lot, especially as a big team if i struggle in what should have been an easy game, never had a problem once with it.
foofighter23
stick to your guns and have a private chat straight away telling them they can eff right off if they dont like it. they soon back down, mostly. said it to plenty of star players that i'd crap myself if they decided to leave but thankfully its only happened once nad even then i had the chance to talk them out of it 6 months before their contract ran out

Exactly what I did. One decided he wanted to leave the club... but he was on loan so I terminated his ass.
5legend
In FM10 my teams always interpreted this as "DO get complacent." i use it whenever i'm on a winning streak at half time but the other team has been dominating the game, after that they start playing well and score more goals and have more chances, guess it just works differently at different times or games
Magnakai Haaskivi
I have a lot of success with "None" at halftime if I'm winning; after bad games that I still win, I usually just say "Good result" regardless of the performance unless they've been really awful, and then I'll just stick with "None".
