Guest
How do you go about buying FM over the internet to download? I have never done it before so have no idea how to do it. Also, what happens if you need to reset your harddrive, or buy a new PC? Do you have to rebuy the game? Thanks.
leumd
The most newbie friendly way to get FM over the internet is probably using Steam (Steam store). Once you install and create your account, have a search for FM 2011. Using Steam allows you to transfer games to any other PC you have in your lifetime free of charge. You simply need to redownload the game any time you need to reinstall. More on Steam
pR!M8
+1 for Steam. Steam will also automatically download and install any patches/fixes for the games you have in your library as soon as they are made available from the developers.
TheGulls
I would use Steam over all the other Direct download sites, because as pR!M8 mentioned it automatically updates game for you.
Giziar
Then again, ordering a DVD from the usual suspects is way cheaper than ordering a digital download at the moment.
pR!M8
Indeed, and the great thing is you can install it through Steam even if you have a retail copy.
TheGulls
£17.91 from Amazon.co.uk at this exact moment and then install through Steam.
Guest
It was mainly for quickness, I was bored yesterday and wanted something to do. I went to Game and it was £33, which I wasnt going to pay when I know its £18 at ASDA. Only problem is my ASDA doesnt sell PC games anymore, only console for some reason. How big is the download? Maybe Now that I'm not so bored and can wait a few days I might just order it from amazon. Its better to have a something real and plastic to show for your money. rick_chelsea
STEAM is probably best for digital download. Shopto.net in my opinion are best for ordering online and having it delivered. Order before 5pm or 5.30pm and you get it next day.
