Is it worth paying 2-3 million, or even up to 5 million, for a tie with a club in US or Japan? How much revenue is taken from them, how do i calculate it, and do you guys use it? Thank you. khriztian Posted February 12, 2011 Share Posted February 12, 2011 It increases merchandising sales, for it to be financially viable the parent club should have at least national or continental reputation. When playing with championship sides, usually the board cancels those affiliation for being not worth, but when managing in the EPL merchandising sales were strong when I had commercial affiliations. I don't think there is a way to distinguish between national and foreign sales. Comparing sales from different years may have other factors affecting merchandising sales, such a league position, club and players reputation.
