Lospe
So, I was playing my R. Madrid save and what I noticed was that the 2 South African players I have in the team aren't considered non-eu players. How come is that? Am I missing something? james170288
There are also some other nations that are exempt. Russia and Switzerland (and maybe Turkey) are considered EU. South Africa are also exempt as they are a concous (or something like that) nation, these nations are also exempt. Have a look in the league rules for a full list of nations that are exempt. Second nationality would also enable them to be exempt from this rule.

BenArsenal
The correct rule is called the Kolpak ruling (named after a Slovakian handball player). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kolpak_ruling http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cotonou_Agreement Most African nations (except the northern ones) and the Pacific Island nations (Fiji, Samoa etc) and Caribbean nations are part of the agreement.
