Football Manager LAGS

Hi, a few weeks ago I had a regular save, and out of the blue it started lagging I tried everything from some gamebooster to deleting any graphics I added etc, and eventually I took it on the chin and started playing it while it lagged. Normal game play was okay but when ever I clicked on a player, CPU usage shoots right up to 100% and it takes a good 30 seconds to click on biography or history etc

I uninstalled the whole game from steam, deleted anything remotely associated with FM11 and uninstalled steam and deleted every steam folder and then got it all back and even before I start a save and just search for a player on the menu bit, it lags :/

I actually have given up on what the problem could be :/

Anyone know a solution to this ?

When was your computer last formatted? I tend to not let mine go 6 months without a format as general use will bog down your computer over time. I just think that after removing the game and trying again with the problem persisting that the cause isn't actually the game and could be something else.

Its a fairly new laptop, got it in August :/

But what I dont get is why doesnt it lag when I play matches or open inbox and etc, just when I click on players :/

Could be the face's been generated.
