How do I accept contract extension??? Help!

Just got my non league side promoted to the football league and looking forward to the new challenge. The problem is that my contract is about to run out. The board are extremely keen to extend my deal, I'm keen to accept the extension, but I don't know how to!!

They are offering me the same wage as I'm on, a very nice £1,500 per week and that's fine by me, but how do I accept it???? The deal that they are suggesting is marked in red and it says "cannot suggest deal due to borad restrictions". They want me to do the job, I want to do the job, but the game seems to be preventing me.

Any ideas????

That's the problem, I can't. The lowest available is £3,500. I don't want/need £3,500 and they refuse to offer me that much.... I just want to accept the £1,500 they are offering :-(

are you able to select original offer/contract ?

Ah! worked it out! The budget slider needed to be put all the way to transfer money to minimise the amount available for wages, then the min salary went down to £1,600 and they agreed!!

It's one of the daft parts of the game. There is no incentive to financially better yourself. Most players would try to get the lowest offer possible so there is more to spend on players etc.

i had the same issue when leaving Leicester to join barcelona who came in for me, they offered me £33k but the lowest i could accept was £45k it made no sense that they offered me something that was too low, but 3 consectutive la liga's and 1 champions league later, it all worked out!
