TATOX Posted January 17, 2011 Share Posted January 17, 2011 4-2-2-2 "il Devasto" (I apologize in advance for my bad english) IMPORTANT: Read all the post and if you make everything i say in this post, this tactic will work great This is the tactic (i'm sorry, but i' forgot to uncheck the option "target man"...then, neither of two forward is "target man"): The particularity of this tactic is that, while playing with two large wings, passing are set in the center to take advantage of their movements and the movements of the two forward...the amplitude is seen, not as a way to open the game from one level to another by sending a cross to the exterior, but is seen as a means to send to the center, as many players as possible to avoid him "beat feet". Now i show you the line up in attack and the line up on defense (action-type goals and how to defend the team): A) Attack (red: forward; blue: wings; purple: midfielders; yellow: backs) http://img545.imageshack.us/img545/9316/screenshot349.jpg As you can see the ball carrier(Carrick) has a lot of offensive solutions, and there, in this picture taken from the game against Barça (willfully to show the impact even against strong defenses) can count 5 different solutions: the two full backs, the 'other median, the two wings and rooney, in this case was the player served a chance to find himself infallible! It seems that I was too quick to judge the defensive part of the tactic. Or not - I'm not sure yet. I started against Man Utd and managed to win 1-0, but they had many cc:s and I actually didn't deserve to win that match. However, the next 2 matches has been just brilliant. 5-0 against B'ham and 6-0 against Wolves. Poor teams I know. S!lver Posted January 18, 2011 Share Posted January 18, 2011 Yep defence is leaky, I mean a lot ^^ But that's not a problem as long as you can convert your chances. To make your defence a little bit more solid, you can reduce the high pressing on your back 4, that way they won't chase opponents to leave a huge hole behind them.
