Unregistered Players

Hello all! I semi-recently took control of DC United from the MLS and I have 5 unregistered players. You see, during the pre-season, I registered all my players and set everyone their number. I signed two of the players during the MLS Release Draft (I forget what it's called) and that was after registration. I then signed two other players after all the pre-season games we're played. Finally, one player was on injury when I started the game and I guess I didn't do something properly, but he to is unregistered. So I have five unregistered players and I believe these players can help my team win. I thought they we're unregistered for just the first game, but they're not. I also set these players their numbers. So I was wondering how long they are unregistered for.
