I took over the Italy job back in June 2012 after they failed to make it out of the group stage of the UEFA Cup, but noticed that when the under 20 world cup came around the Italy U20 team wasn't there. jod123 Posted January 13, 2011 Share Posted January 13, 2011 The continental underage tournaments act as qualifiers for this. So for example the UEFA U-19 Championship for Italy. I can't remember how far they have to get though but if you get to the semi-final of that you should definitely qualify. Even finishing 3rd in the groups might be enough too. The 2010 U19 Euro's for the 2011 U20 WC etc. The four semi finalists and the 3rd placed teams in the group stage qualify for the U20 World Cup.
