The importants of a first team coach?

After the appointment of Steve Clarke as First Team coach at Liverpool I have noticed a distinct lack of depth and pull in coaching set ups in Football Manager.

As manager of Man Utd I was appointed after two successful season with Cardiff when Sir Alex retired.

Now i was thinking surely their should be more depth than just First Team coach, who JUST trains the first team, Coach and Youth Coach. Not talking about much just simple things like the value of First Team coaches at football clubs and maybe a new role for "Head of Youth Development.
