Can we have a thread in here for Handheld only updates?

We are different of course to the other FMers (well me being one, as I also have FM11 PC).

Anyway, ill post it, if it gets deleted its just a few keys on my laptop that have had extra use.

Season 1:

Arsenal

Signings: Sergio Asenjo 8m Atletico, Joleon Lescott 6m Man City, Shay Given 1.3m Man City

Sold: Manuel Almunia 2.4m Valencia

Premier League: An exciting race to the finish that almost had 6 teams invovled in the title run in right down to the wire. Unfortunately for some ie Tottenham, Man City and Man Utd they fell away with games to spare and embroiled themselves in a battle for a Top 4 finish (United won out). As for the title, my Arsenal held their own and should have really took the crown but a miserable run of results including defeats at Blackburn and Chelsea, as well as home points dropped against Bolton and Tottenham left us requiring others to drop points.

Liverpool played ball and eventually trailed off into third, as we crunched them 4-0 at Anfield. However the Blues kept on chugging along and our attempts to close the 2 point gap proved fruitless and even our final game of the season a 4-2 win at Old Trafford was only in vein as Drogba bagged all 3 as the Blues wrapped up back to back titles with a 3-0 home romp over relegated Blackpool.

Finish: Runners Up

Domestic Cups: A contrast in fortunes saw us collect one trophy whilst being humbled in the other. The League Cup would wind up in the hallowed halls of the Emirates Stadium as a easy draw saw us eventually defeat Sheffield United in the Semi Finals, before crushing surprise finalists Bristol City at Wembley to lift the trophy. In the FA Cup it was a short and sweet visit to the Walkers Stadium that saw us come away well and truly beaten by the Foxes as the 3-0 scoreline left us red faced in more ways than one.

FA Cup: 3rd Round

League Cup: Winners

Europe: An exciting campaign that ended up with the unexpected. A Champions League group that contained Spartak Moscow, Sevilla and Salzburg should have been easy, but a 3-1 loss in Austria symbolised the effort and we eventually wound up 3rd in the group a couple of points behind the surprise Austrians and dominant Spanish. However that meant a trip to the UEFA Cup and a less glamorous competition yet a successful one as aggregate wins over PSV, Timosoria, Galatasaray, Club Brugge before we met Portuguese giants FC Porto in the final. The game itself outshone all others as we trailed 1-0 and 2-1 before Cesc netted a late equaliser to force extra time. Nothing could then break the deadlock and it would be decided on penalties just as Arsenal had lost in the same competition around 10 years ago to Turkish cracks Galatasaray. Penalties would test the nerve of the young Arsenal eleven, but with Porto missing their 5th it would be teenage sensation Jack Wilshere who struck home the winner to clinch a 2nd trophy for the Young Guns in 2011.

Champions League: Group Stage (3rd)

UEFA Cup: Winners
