Corkey
How do you guys do this? I always ask my assistant, but want to start doing myself, but everyone seems to be busy, and I do ask some random clubs... and yes I do them ask to be at their ground. Thoughts? underwater sunlight
as i'm managing in NI i need every last penny available from friendlies so i do it myself (mainly because the assman will not create over 100 friendlies in a season and also because he will not always take the best financial option)
mteeters
What are you trying to accomplish? I just pick non-league teams if I'm not concerned about money or anything. They always accept.
Coentrao
As mteeters said it really depends on what's your goal. -If you are a small club needing money.. you can play away friendlies(see the very small reputation teams(foreign)) and try to make as much money as you can during that pre-season. -If you are unsure of your team strengths or if you are playing on a new league play friendlies against teams of your own league to see how you are doing. -If you just want to keep morale up, pick a bunch of non-league teams and trash them all the way during the pre-season. Personally since i very rarely manage with top teams right away, i start scheduling profitable away friendlies for money as soon as possible with an interval of 3 days each.. i rotate 11 players on each half.
