Teams Play Ridiculously Well When Down a Man

I've noticed that teams tend to do far better than they should after having had a man sent off.

I've scored goals when down a man and had teams score goals on me when they are down a man. This isn't very realistic at all. Not because it happens once in awhile, but because of how frequently it does happen.

I just got finished a game where a team was down two men and managed to generate a bit of offence and scored a goal off a free kick to boot.

Happens a lot in real life as well, so often it might surprise you.

If the team with the extra man can exploit a tactical advantage, then they'll probably go ahead, but often the team with the man down just gets more determined.

The opposition will go defensive clearly. Try to stretch the 10 men and play possesion football and work ball into box and try to wear them out

There does seem to have been shift with this version, whereby previously it was a blessing to have the opposition down to ten men, but with FM11 I do seem to struggle once it happens. However, looking at Spurs last two results, having a player red carded hasn't been a bad thing!

I almost always win when up against 10 men, even if I was losing when he was sent off. You just have to adjust your tactics to take advantage of it.

Just happened to me again. I won but was heavily outshot. They even managed to score a goal.

Its like my team shut down once the other team lost a man. Prior to that I had been dominating the match. Something is definitely fishy.

I managed to lose two players for the season as well.
