Does anyone else find this odd?

I've been playing this game, and CM before, for about 10 years and have always noticed this. It's only now that I thought to post it here.

When you go to 'staff search' and use the filter, 'ask assistant to filter out unrealistic targets' is ticked. Does your assistant ever find it suspicious when he's asked to filter out unrealistic targets for an assistant manager position?

If I was asked to do that I might fear for my job, but these guys are very thick skinned

no, there is no reaction in the game from your assistant manager.

That's quite funny, never really thought about it. Perhaps he would filter out anyone half decent in the hope that you don't see any better than him??

Haha yeh I was thinking this the other day. Asking someone to find their replacement is pretty harsh. Making them dig their own grave pretty much

How about asking the player/assman for a squad report and he suggests dropping himself?

Is it actually the ass man you're asking to filter searches though? Or is it the personal assistant? The one who apparently reminds you of expiring contracts etc.

No it doesn't. It says 'ask assistant to filter out unrealistic targets'.

When you don't have an assistant manager the option is unavailable.. so it's the assistant manager that runs that filter.

but I've noticed that the assistant does filter out targets who are/might be slightly interested...

they basically filter out those who aren't definitely interested/very interested (or that's been my experience)

I've actually signed staff and players that the assistant has filtered out as 'unrealistic targets' - perhaps a bad ass-man is bad at knowing what an unrealistic target is too?

I'm not bringing this up because I want SI to do anything about it.

I just find it amusing, and have every time I look for an assistant manager.
