installing without steam

for some reason I have real trouble installing fm (now fm11) when i try to install the game from the cd and not using steam. when the installation completes the text says "The installation of Football Manager 2011 is finished, but some errors occurred during the install. Please see the installation log for details." and then when i check, the game has not been installed onto my computer. this also happened in the last game, so am I doing something wrong or is there something i have to change in some settings?

Have you tried installing via Steam as an alternative?

What is your OS. If it is Windows 7 then try right clicking and then click on the "Run as Administrator" option.
