edgar555
I don't think you can transfer from mac to pc. Certainly couldn't a couple of years ago and I don't believe its changed. Sorry. Merry xmas.

Merry xmas. Huh? I've done it. Both ways in 09, then pc to mac in 10 It's the same file, so as long as you are running the same patch, should work like a charm. At least, worth trying
QuinnRobot
Both will be running the latest patch with an unedited database so it should marry up. Does anyone know what the file extension for save games is?

I did say a couple of years ago but in hindsight it was probably 06 or 07 so a bit more than a couple of years probably File extension is .fm

Never tried it on FM 07, and didn't buy 08, so can't vouch for any of those versions myself!
Luke Warrington
As long as you are running the same patch on both machines, you will be able to play the save on both PC and Mac
QuinnRobot
Thats great thank you all very much! now just one more thing....... I'm having an attack of idiocy and don't know where to tell my dad to save the Save Game file. Or where I'd find it on my mac, I can't seem to find it in the Sports Interactive folder anywhere. I've only had one beer.
QuinnRobot
Just needed to bump this back up the top in the hope that someone would be able to tell me where I'd find the save file on my Mac and where I need to put it on my dads comp. Cheers Gang.
The Laughing Man
In the mac you will find it in User -> Documents ->Sports Interactive ->Football Manager 2011 -> Games It should be in roughly the same place on a PC, i.e MY Documents -> Sports Interactive etc Hope this helps.
