Masterstroke
Exactly what it says on the tin, I'm in Jan he's got contract offers coming in as his is up at the end of the season, i have a private chat with him telling him that i want to release him to reduce the wage bill, he agrees but hes still here
Lower Leagues Rule
I believe the Chat is just you and him discussing it, I believe you still have to go to the "Tranfers & Contracts" section of his profile and choose Mutual termination... Lower Leagues Rule
Ok I was just checking... Is the option still there to do it again? (At this point I would be posting this in the Bugs Forum and see what they say.
Jibby123
You can't release a player when he has started negotiations with a team to join on a free when he's less than 6 months on his contract with you. It's been that way for a few versions. Get rid before the January, otherwise you're stuck with him until his Contract ends in the June.
Masterstroke
ohh i didnt know that thanks for the info
Jibby123
No worries, not sure how realistic it is (not very imho), but have been caught out myself on this. They don't even need to have agreed a new Contract with their next team. In negotiation is enough to block you releasing them.
Lazaru5
I'd have offered him to clubs for £0 as soon as the 1st December hit so he'd go on 1st January (although you can almost guarantee they'll accept the offer of the clubs that want them at the end of the season instead... )
