What would cause one of my top players morale to suddenly drop

Im managing Tottenham and after 9 games we are top of the league and unbeaten,and flying high in the Champs League

I signed Elijero Elia and hes been on fire for me however his morale has just dropped from superb to poor and i cannot find a reason why.

Theres nothing to note in his personal data and hes not been unhappy with anything.So why would this happen?

Did an opposition manager commented on him as a dangerman?

Or maybe he reacted badly to a post-match team talk? Check the assistant's team-talk feedback!

Knowing Spurs as I do ..... I say it musta been a friday night fight in the kebab shop at chucking out time.

1) Did another manager comment on him

2) Did you insult him in the press conference/ team talk

3) Did he pick up a minor knock in the last match?

4) Did his wife leave him for one of John terrys relatives?

I have had that happen - good player just suddenly has poor morale. When I check his personal info, it says he is happy to be playing for the club, etc. No reason at all for poor morale.

If a player's morale is going to be poor, the game has to have some way to tell us why. The best would be in the player happiness section of the personal tab.

These are likely. For #1 the game allows a massive overreaction to the oppo manager targeting him in the media. For #2 you can easily inadvertently upset him with a comment in a post-match conference (e.g. praise the oppo manager).
