saved game not loading?

So I go to play fm this morning, click the 'load last game' the bar gets to about a third of the way and then a window pops up saying 'the save game could not be loaded'. Any ideas why this is and whether it could be fixed?

I was playing the save last night and did nothing different, I have an auto save interval of every day and a 5 file rolling auto save. However I do remember saving manually last night just to be safe. I've checked the folder and all the saves are in the right location so can't think what it could be...

You have patch 11.2.1 installed?

Save game could be corrupted, did you try to load the other saves?

Yeah 11.2.1 is installed.

I tried to load the other saves and they just do the same.

I hate Mondays.

If you've tried all your other saved and they are not loading either that would suggest to me that the problem lies else where and not with FM. You could try to defrag your hard drive and check for errors.

I have the same problem, no idea what went wrong... It's impossible to load my saves (i've tried all of them).

Which leagues are active in your saves?

I don't remember exactly now but I think England - League 2, Scotland - Premier, Germany - League 2, Spain - League 2.

I've now tried to start a brand new game and can't, I keep getting a message about a crash dump? Any ideas?

I suggest to re-install the game.

Ok cheers. What are the chances of being able to play my previous saved game when I've re-installed it?

did either of you shut down the computer whilst the game was still saving ? that could be the reason for this. Otherwise I guess it's time to start again
