Players being removed from favorites after I have changed clubs

For a number of years now I always load up my saved shortlist back from FM08,this contains a number of top young players,Rooney,Messi etc and saves me from adding them all once I start a new game on each new version of FM.

To make things easier during my save games I'll always add any new players to my saved shortlist and automatically the yellow star lights up so I am informed when other clubs make bids etc.

However it seems when I move to another club as a manager,most of these players have the star un-ticked. They're still on my shortlist but I never get any messages telling me if a club makes a bid. When I go and find them I'm usually too late as another club has beat me too it.

Really don't want to go through all players and add them to my favorites but surely if they are on my shortlist (not the default one) I should still get told when other clubs have made a bid?
