Playing without real players

just started a save on fm10 to get me through till the patch release where im playing without any real players, just wondering if and when people do this. i'll usually do it near the release of the latest fm, if i've become bored of my previous saves, as i never last too long in long term saves. and its more challenging having absolutely no idea who anybody is

anybody else do this, and enjoy it?

Dont the players still stay the same though and at the same clubs? I thought only their names and possibly nationalities changed.

yeah, i noticed that, but its a change anyways xD

Their ages and CA and PA also change I think, I tried this once but didn't get very far if I'm honest. The attributes remain roughly the same, but I think CA and PA changes, so the attributes may be a few points higher or lower, but this happens uniformly across all a players attributes, if their CA or PA changes. I remember having a player who had John Terry's stats, but they were all a lot lower, he was about 35 and Nigerian. It was fun for a while though

Has this imroved for 2011 then? Anyone tried it?

ive always wanted to give this a go im just not sure if it would keep me interested in the first few seasons!

I've tried - changes are not very big. But if you use Free Players DB along it's more fun as you don't know who is who.

I've never had any feeling to play a game with unreal players; instead i habitually manage in the lowest playable leagues where all the players are complete strangers to me, thus it has the benefit of that option but seems authentic.

I have tried this in previous versions and as others have said, feel it is a bit lifeless. There is nothing better than getting the buzz of enticing a world name to your club.
