Annoying Agent.

Bale has 12 months left on his contract, his agent is a nightmare. I can agree on everything except for the agent's fee. He wants £2 million.

Is there a way to chat with Bale to try and pursuade him to fire his agent?

I don't like giving more money to the agent than the player.

With 12 months left you might have to, because if he leaves the negotiations, there is very little chance to re-negotiate and then he'll walk out on a bosman. You cant persuade him to sack his agent no, but if your lucky he will do it on his own accord.

Agents in this game are nasty, impatient, disrespectful little twerps and i loather giving them signing on fees. Usually i would stop negotiations, however, with bale i would just pay out. This is why i signed him on a long term contract in the first season

On my game Bale earns £140k.

Perhaps a feature for FM12 is the ability to tell player to switch agents.

I think it is technically not legal to tell a player such things

But you can tell them their agent fee is way too much and you wont be paying it.

That will let the player have a choice of sacking him or not getting a new contract.

surely if you were a player and the only thing stopping you signing for a club was the fee your agent was being paid, then i dont think you would let that stop you and just get rid of the idiot.

You should have the option as manager to mention either in the media or to the player that the reason that negotiations broke down was due to the player's agent.

I wonder how SAF dealt with it earlier this season with Rooney. He blamed the agent only after the contract was signed.

I hate the agents in FM 11, they are so annoying.
