opponent scouting report, match preparation and immediate respond to opponent tactics

and now may I ask for some more experience and advises on

how to make good use of opponent scouting report and pre-match preparations?

and also what is the best respond to my opponent immediate tactics change like a more attacking style, looking into the final third, more defensive or even change of formations?
