Registration Window

I am playing as a League 2 club and It says the registration window is about to close and anyone not registered in time will have to wait. Now I understand that loan players don't need to be registered, but if I sign someone on a free after the window closes does that mean he can't play until January?? Because the free transfer window shuts in November.

Ok, just ran into this myself in game so hopefully it'll save you:

You can register up to 25 people. Let's say you only have 23 people you want to register. DON'T HIT AUTO SELECT. The assistant coach will fill that 25 up with reserve players if he has to. If you register 25 players, you can't change that until the next transfer window... PERIOD.

The exception for free transfers: if you have previously unused registration spots. So let's say you register only 23 players. During the course of the free transfer window, you will be able to add them in until you get to your max 25.

Once you submit 25 though, that's that. You cannot remove a player from registration once he's already on it between windows.
