timmy
Pre match advice always seems to be saying to play with a slow tempo, defend deep and narrow. I don't remember ever getting advice to push up or play more wide. Anybody care to comment
bigdanio
Well, lets think variables and constants. What is constant each game? Perhaps your tactics? Definitely your players. Your ass man obviously thinks with the current crop of players you should play slower, defend deeper and play narrow - he isn't Italian is he?! I bet he is a defensive minded coach anyhow. My ass man is forever telling me to slow down the play (we are very direct) and to play narrower (I allow 2 wide men to stay wide and no defending) but as I win lots of titles I ignore him. Do the same, unless you aren't doing well.
mrdorf
I'm beginning to think scouting the oppo and pre match advice is useless. I kid myself that it means something by hassling players and getting stuck in if it says "they like to get the ball down and play" but I'd use that for away games anyway. edgar555
It also has a lot to do with what league you are playing in. I've been in BSS/BSP so all but 2 teams play 4-4-2 so according to my assman all teams are either good or bad against 4-4-2. Well, duh, until they play another style then yes that is true, but how does anyone know what they are like agains 4-5-1 etc.
