My best player is suicidal and I don't know why.

Recommended Posts

My most important and best performing player is really, really depressed. And interestingly, with my previous team, my star player was also tied down to very poor morale.

Now, I have tried telling this player that I'm resting him for a few weeks, as since his drop in morale his match ratings have gone from 7.9-8.8s to 6.1. Something I noticed too is that he only started getting mopey when opposition managers began pointing him out as a dangerman pre-match.

So, I gave him a rest, nobody said anything about him for three games, and his morale had risen to just 'poor'. But then I get the dreaded line about 'watching him carefully if we're to get something from this game' and he's back down to 'very poor'- there's nothing about him 'feeling the weight of expectation' or whatever, just inexplicable depression.

Has anyone else had this problem, and is there a way to solve it? I find it a bit annoying that twice now my player has become unusable just because he was good.

Maybe I'm just imagining things :(
