Sheva Elite Posted December 3, 2010 Share Posted December 3, 2010 Darius Vassel currently has the highest percentage of shots on target of anyone in the Championship, at 63% He's played 25 games and scored 18 goals, so its not as if he just got lucky in a few games. He is consistently hitting the target. But he has 11 finishing, 8 heading, 7 composure. (and 11 anticipation, 7 concentration). Other stats are hardly fantastic either. He's not even that quick. My top strikers' goalscoring rates aren't terrible, but they're nothing compared to my fast youngster with 6 Finishing and 8 Long Shots. How has this happened? How can he even be in a Championship club's first team with such attributes?! As long as he has superior physical, decent mental and great morale, a third rate striker can score just as well as a world class player. Otherwise nobody would ever score in the lowest leagues. But the thing is that in lower leagues strikers facing weaker defenders and goalkeepers that's why it's still easier to score! If he isnt getting many, but he is a poacher so those he gets are quite easy that could explain it. I have agbonlahor scoring for fun as a poacher, and his main attribute is being quick.
