goal line clearance

I was just wondering if anyone has seen one of these from a corner. I always put a man on each post but it struck me today that whenever a ball goes towards them it always ends up glancing off and into the net. Can't remember seeing a clearance from this

Neither can I. Or it ends up to be an own goal scored by the players standing on either of posts.

I posted this in the bug forums with a highlight example... the AI for players marking the post is non-existent, basically they just extend the size of the post and don't do anything.

The example I showed was a player getting hit with a fair header, the ball bounce to his side and rolling in. The worst part was it's not like it happened too fast for the player to react, he did react... he turned slowly and watched the ball roll in instead of kicking it.

SI responded with "It's known and we're looking into it" paraphrased. But this still bothers be because the behavior was no better in FM10, so it's not like it's recent. Makes me wonder how long until they get it figured out.

Stopped it how.. it just hit him or did he move in some fashion?

Not everyone is a great goalie like Luis Suarez. But I agree that it's a lot more uncommon for a player making a goal line clearance in FM than in real life.

he seemed to head it out of the box, it looked as though he jumped?

Actually had a few clearances off the line in various situations, where the defender has kicked the ball upfield.

Don't remember if any of them was from corners or not, unfortunately.

I've seen Dario Srna doing it twice in two seasons and a half for my Shakhtar team, but he's the only one it seems.
