help please!

i have been trying to get the fm11 demo working but to no avail,keep getting the graphics system could not be set up or something. fm09 was laggy as hell on my laptop but the fm10 demo runs sweet as a nut and was told by a friend that if fm10 works on my laptop then 11 should also so has any one got any ideas as to how to get 11 working?

Can you also post your graphic card,I am guessing that is the problem.

You can find it(Vista)Start>control panel>device manager>display adapters.

only thing i can find is a thing called radeon igp 345m,is that it?

Please download the following update from the Microsoft Direct X SDK:

Use the following settings in Direct-x Control Panel.

Run the following tool:

Start->Direct-X SDK->Direct-X Utilities->Direct-X Caps Viewer

Ensure the Direct-X properties appear as the dialog below. Especially important to ensure the Enumerate Reference Rasterizer is checked.

When downloading this file please use the Firefox browser as some people have encounter difficulties when using Internet Explorer.

You should also check that you are running the latest graphics driver, you can do this by visiting the computer manufacturer website, or by visiting the graphics card manufacturing website.

Also if you are running Steam, make sure this is not running when attempting to install

i know it seems very odd i remember miles saying in a podcast that if your pc/lappy could run fm10 there would be no problems with fm11,

Maybe I am wrong(not the 1st time) but your graphic card is around 8 years old and not very good even back then,I would suggest downloading new drivers for the card to see if that helps.

Not sure just how "new" the new drivers will be but you can run a test on your system from many different sites to check for out dated drivers.

still doesnt answer why 10 works though but 11 doesnt but after having a read of the forum is it really worth playing 11,all i have seen so far is people having a moan about the game

I am loving the new game,there are some bugs,though nothing game destroying,for me it is better than 10 and a lot better than 9.

The only real "problem" for me is the players on free or very low transfer's but I am sure this will be sorted...also a little whine that the widget's are still not saving right.

All in all a better game that will improve more with the next 2 patch's,if you are still unsure I would wait now until the Xmas patch hits and then read the feedback

If the demo runs fine i can't see why not, as long as your comp meets the minimum specs you should be fine.

If the demo runs well then so will the full game
