underwater sunlight
are your players taking a lot of long shots? that will bring the shots/shots on target ratio down playing a lone striker? they will invariably get less clear cut chances as they will have more pressure. what are your strikers attributes like? finishing, composure, off the ball should be high
StevoRobbo
Probably your tactics and possibly carp strikers..........or both.

StevoRobbo
You shouldnt really have a problem with Macheda. Its probably your tactics. Have a play about and make sure your players are set to the best role to suit their attributes. Maybe get a tactic from the Tactics forum and try it out as a base just to give you an idea then create your own.
