Laptop for FM

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I like my football manager experiance to be extensive.

I don't care about whizzing through the leagues, I just like to have variety and a large game environment.

My usual set up is as follows; USA, Belgium, Holland, England, Scotland, Italy, Argentina, Spain, France, Germany, Brazil, Portugal, Norway

Argentina and Brazil are view only, the rest of the leagues I only activate the top 2 divisions (if applicable) bar England where I would ideally load down to BS North/South but usually just to League 2

My question is

How would this set up handle on these two laptops?

Which one would be better? I assume the dearer one, but the speeds arn't that different, compared to the price. Would there be a noticable different between the two specs? Enough to warrant an extra £100+

Out of the two the first one is better. Avoid Celeron processors. The are budget low end. Also the seond one only has DDR2 Ram whereas the first has DDR3 Ram.

There is no contest really. The first one is better, but also look around because PC World are not the greatest.

Go for an i3 or i5 laptop, then watch FM whizz by.

I have an i3 with 4gb ram and run loads of leagues and it whizzes by.

Something like this

Also PC World just stock the pc's, they have nothing to do with making them, same with the link I provided, its an Acer, John Lewis just stock and sell, infact its VERY similiar to the laptop I have and I paid £100 more (From PC World infact).

ACER Aspire 5742

Just came across this model.

It's within the budget I can afford at the moment (recently just purchased an apartment with the gf)

I reckon it would be strong enough to give me speedy but delayed processing of the game. I don't mind waiting an extra few minutes to calculate the fixtures so hopefully will be adequats
