Squad Layout

Hiya everyone. I've played for a few years but never really bothered to get this right or figure out what im doing wrong.

I go to my squad window and make it all nicely set out and everything but when i come back from another screen it has reset to the default. how do i set it to stay at what i want, even when reloading the game etc. ?
