Virus exchange

Recommended Posts

It depends really on how the Virus behaves and its manipulation. In theory yes, as you are connecting through a P2P system and are therefore allowing an open share or port for communication between each user/pc. It all depends on how the virus behaves, read up and see what its behavior does and its purpose.

Also, if you have decent Internet secruity and its updated with the latest DATs/Heuristics etc, you will be fine.

Just looked up for you, and you or the others shouldn't be at risk. Like I said, as long as you have I.Security, all will be fine.

Read that, and tell the person to pay a visit. It's actually spyware and not a trojan. The good thing is, the program is client/server based. Which means that it needs to communicate constantly with the server (your the client). Disrupt any network connection (disable) then follow those instructions. Don't do it whilst there is still an active connection. If you/he does it manually, make sure he knows to back up his .Reg before editing the Registry Hives and to make sure he does it in safe mode to minimize all processes etc.
