petey_g Posted November 17, 2010 Share Posted November 17, 2010 Penultimate game of the season. I'm 2 points clear of Man Utd. I'm playing City away. I'm playing with 3 in midfield to try to starve them of possession. I lost 6-0. Highest rating was 6.1. I think everything that could possibly have gone wrong did. Conceded an early goal, Gomes (who has been outstanding all season), makes mistake after mistake after mistake. 3 down at half time, go attacking to try to restore some pride. More defensive errors... 2 of their goals came from rebounds which my defenders should have cleared but they just stood and watched as Tevez walked towards the ball. King even got beaten in the air by him for one of their goals. Oh and Lescott scored a 30 yard screaming volley. Utd are playing on Sunday so it may just end up being a terrible result rather than a result with disastrous consequences for my league ambitions. Sad times.
