Update patch on steam - any tips?

Hi,

For some reason when I run the game through steam it does not say version 11.1.1, but 11.1 on the top of the screen under preferences. Do I have to do something in steam to update to the laest version?

The database is still 11.1 as there were no major data changes

Close steam and start it again.

Did steam update at any time?

If it's saying 11.1.0 when you start a new game then that's what it's supposed to say.

Check your Preferences menu for the correct number.

If may be worth trying to restart steam, but also check it's set to auto update FM in the steam menu.

Make sure you close steam fully though, close the program then make sure you right click and close in your icons tool bar.

Cllick Properties

Click Update

Make sure 'Always keep this game up to date' is selected.

If you don't have any joy please contact Steam's customer services, I don't know why they haven't updated your game.

Make sure you have automatic updates turned on.

I know, but on my friends game it says 11.1 on the top "banner" when he is in the preferences screen. (he runs the game through steam). When I'm in the same screen it says version 11.1.1.

He cant join the network game because we do not have the same versions.

He should close the game and close steam and than restart steam. After that steam should update his game.

Automatic updates is selected in steam, seems strange that the game does not update itself. Should work if all you other guys dont have problems running it through steam with the latest updates.
