Luton Town
is it not board request
Stu Coleman
Essentially you will need to have a healthy bank balance, and also increase the clubs rep quite a bit to turn full-time in the conference. For a club like Hyde it will pretty much never happen upon promotion to the Blue Square Bet Premier.
danielgear
usually when you get to league two
Machetero
I recall that as soon as you get to a professional league, all your contracts will be converted into professional.
ziotree
would it make any difference if i put every player on a full time contract? if not i can see them staying prt time for a good while as they are 200,000 in the red and tbh i have no chance of promotion as for 3rd season running i have got zero transfer budget... its tough
richie32
on fm10 i was with wexford and they turned pro when i offered all players full time contracts
auberius
When you get turned professional it'll say that you're expected to convert everyone to full-time, I'm not aware of it happening automatically. Equally (and as I tried to ask elsewhere but got no reply) you can have everyone on full-time contracts relatively easily while still semi-pro, but I'm not sure whether you still get penalised in some way for the club's status (I worked on the assumption that if the players and coaches were full-time then there'd be someone to train and someone to train them, at least...) SSGTroyer
(FM10) I had my semi-pro team on all full-time contracts and all we did was lose money. We didn't turn pro until we got to League 2. Best to have your key players full time and your role players part time. Strikes a balance between training and profit.
stevio11
I think you will find that most and all of the blue square premier teams IRL are now full time.
kingalinguk
The board will make a decision when playing at an appropriate level and/or when finances are good and will move all players on to FT contracts. From experience, be aware that staff do not automatically change so you will need to offer new contracts.
dontask
most clubs in the bsp are full time. certainly most clubs coming up from bss/bsn should turn pro as well unless they really are skint
