Mr. DNA
I posted in the "Technical issues" forum a few hours ago, and whilst I realise that it's not my God-given right to have my posts answered, I thought that I'd give it one last bash in here. My original post: "I pre-purchased the game through Steam, and mucked about with it for half an hour on the 4th November when it unlocked. Finally have a bit of free time this evening, although when I try to play the game through Steam the message in my post's title appears. I've tried exiting Steam and reloading, but I'm still getting the same problem. Any ideas? Thanks." My flat mate is at this moment in time playing Football Manager through Steam on his PC. Is the fact that two people are trying to play through steam using different PCs with the same IP address perhaps the culprit?
Igotsackedforbreakingwind
3 people at my house play at the same time with different steam accounts, think we can rule that out.
Neji
Have you tried restarting the computer and trying again?
Mr. DNA
Have you tried restarting the computer and trying again? Just tried that there- no luck. When I try to play the game a pop-up box appears, asking me to click it to continue. In the box it says: (buildbot_winslave01_steam_vel_client_win32@winslave01)

Chris Ritchie
I don't use Steam and am therefore free to play the game I purchased when I choose to.
Mr. DNA
I don't use Steam and am therefore free to play the game I purchased when I choose to. Advice doesn't come much more constructive than that.

Mr. DNA
In any case, I deleted and then reinstalled Steam (and the game), and it's working again. If anyone else has this problem then you now know what to do.
