Terminating Loan's

Hi I have Romone Rose on a season long loan for my Kidderminster side and he has just torn his calf muscle leaving him out for 5 months.

I want to terminate his loan but when I look at the action's there is no option to...I have now looked at all of my season long loan's and the option to terminate loan is not there.

Any explanation's?

I believe that if a club has paid a fee for a player the loan cannot be terminated. I could be wrong though.

You can't terminate loans if your going through a board takeover process. I think, check this for me because i cant terminate loans and i'm going through a takeover

I have not paid a fee for any of my loan player's nor am I going through a board takeover. 4 standard season long loans with no wage contribution, and none of them have the option to terminate.

What I mean is that irl the club could have paid loan fee and then that has been programmed in to FM.

Yeah I see but I brought in these 4 lad's, and there was no fee involved

This does seem weird, though. I like the idea that it's just the parent club going "Hey, he's not our problem!!"

It does seem a little odd to me, Would be good to get an official answer wether it is right that it is not possible or if it potentially is a bug

I've been able to terminate existing loan deals (Pletikosa at Spurs), so yea it might be a wee bug in the loans that you actually make.

I have just brought in a replacement for Rose who is another loan but only on a three month deal and there is still no option to terminate loan.

Mebbe just use FMRTE and send him back that way. Bit annoying though, I know.

How do I go about using FMRTE?

And then just go into the player's details and shorten his loan contract so it ends tomorrow or something. That's what I'd do. If you were a proper cheat you could just heal him and then there wouldn't be a problem, but that's not my bag!

Either way, he'll probably get injured again long-term knowing the amount of injuries you seem to get on this game...!

I could only terminate loans during a transfer window

I have successfully terminated Martin Gritton's loan at Torquay and have brought in other players. Now I am passed the transfer window I checked on my current loanees and have no option to terminate their contract. Even in the "have a chat" screen, the option to discuss contract termination is greyed out.

I just sent him back, Interesting that you say you could send them back in a transfer window, I am currently in January and the option has appeared.

I am unaware if this is a rule or not, I have looked but have found no answer as of yet, would be good to get some official SI correspondence on this.
