Injured Player, no more subs

How do you take off a player with a minor injury if you've used all of your substitutions?

In FM10 I would just substitute him and a message would come up asking if I wanted to take him off and go down to 10 men. On FM11 this option does not come up, so how do I willingly go down to 10 men?

I'm stuck with an injured player on the pitch - we're ahead, and i want to go down to 10 men to

avoid further deterioration, but can't find how to do it..... as above.

Nothing happens like last version of the game? How strange. That can;t be good. Not experienced this yet,.

same happened 2 me with nolan for newcastle i tried 2 take him off with a minor knock and cuddent then all of a sudden the got a major injury and is out with knee cruciate ligament damage all because i couldnt take him off like in fm10

All these bumps and some of you will need taking off with a minor injury.

Really old thread, i know, but surely someone must have an answer for this? Either it is still possible to bring off an injured player and go down to 10 men, or it isn't... I just want to know which one it is

i dont think its possible, not in friendlies anyway. ive made 11 subs in friendlies before, so just a gk left on the bench, got a player injured and tried to play out the rest of the game, but it wouldn't let me, so i had to stick the gk in the winger position to carry on the game
