QuarterRod
For those like myself that like to use large DBs a load a lot of leagues, it only seems reasonable that steam is going to take a hit at performance. So just wondering if SI benchmarked the game with steam running behind it. I know there's a direct download option but a lot of people are using steam as well. ChewyFun
Well I'm playing FM11 with Steam right now, and Steam is using a 1/3 of the memory that Google Chrome is using. It's remarkably light.
Jelle Slaets
Running in the background, steam is currently using the grand total of 19mb ram and 0% cpu.
cerud
Never had a problem with Steam. It's not even noticeable. I've run large databases with 20+ nations and all leagues before. Unless they have the performance stars working this year, don't worry about them. They mean nothing.
low42
Never had a problem with Steam. It's not even noticeable. Agreed. Most of my gaming library is through steam and I've never had problems with it affecting performance.
