Still can't download the game from GamersGate?!?!

It's 00:50AM here in Serbia, I bought the game via GamersGate and still cannot download it? Is this normal or should I do something about this??

Did you get a serial key? If so you could try entering it into Steam and downloading, might not work but worth a shot if you want to play early. Of course you may have got if from GamersGate so you wouldn't have to use Steam...

I still didn't get anything! In my "Purchased Games" tab FM2011 still only has the "Gift this game" button available, no "Download" or anything else... I wouldn't mind using Steam had I received the CD Key from Gamersgate, come to think of it I wonder why on Earth didn't I purchase it via Steam in the first place! Anyone else had past experiences with GamersGate similar to this delay?

UPDATE: Now I don't even have the "Gift this game" option available anymore for the PC version, the "Gift this game" option on FM2011 remains only for Mac version in my GamersGate account... F***!

LoL superhans, I just posted a message on GamersGate @ you I'm signed in as Kreinzer over there. Anyhow, had I known GamersGate sucks donkey ba**s this much I would have never EVER pre ordered anything via their site! This is bloody unbelievable! Out of sheer principle I'll buy the game from Steam within an hour or so if the stupid GamersGate doesn't release the game for download, and will post a nice "warm" SPAM over their boards about it...

Greemangaming isnt much better.. still waiting and its been the 5th for over 1:30 am now. I wont buy it for 50 euros from steam though! I refuse lol

Apparently it is going to be 7am on Gamersgate, so i am calling it a (wasted) night and play the game tomorrow morning.

got to the 'new game' page when the game loaded but then it says theres no CD. At no point was I asked for my activation code..?

I am waiting for www.Gamersgate.com which for pre-order claims.

The pre ordered game will be available for download x hours before the release.

I'm from the US so I dunno if that has something to do with it.... but others are in Europe where it should be available

The digital download versions are already 11.1, what you've done is turn yours into a CD version by installing the boxed patch.

Please un-install the version you have and install again this time not patching.

To those still waiting, sorry guys we can't always control every website but I've taken note of the issues and will try to get them chased up.

Gamersgate works office hours, so it will be 7 or 8 AM European time, which will be in about 5 or 6 hours

Make sure the game is closed.

Go into:

My Computer -> <Username> -> App Data -> Roaming (vista/w7) -> Sports Interactive Folder -> Football Manager 2011 Folder

Delete the FM 2011 folder (not the certificates folder)

Run the game again.

Let me know if this helps.

Not having much luck are you?

First of all try re-starting your machine, if that doesn't help then I can only sugest you follow the steps on the FAQ to clean your system off and re-install, Sorry I know it's a pain but patching over the digital version can cause a bit of chaos.

Greengamers have sent me 5 identical e mails about my Pre purchase at sporadic points overnight, yet still no activation code. Was hoping to do all the install stuff whilst I was at work. Tsk

You still can't get the activation key.

i am still waiting for my direct2drive.co.uk copy aswell. Sent their support a ticket. I have a feeling next year i will not be doing business with d2d.
