Is my player just stupid or is this a bug?

During a game, the ball was played forward to the opposition left winger, my right back made a standing tackle, won the ball and the winger fell over. My right back then turned to play the ball across the defence only to seemingly trip over the prone left winger. The left winger then gets up and runs off with the ball.

Now, either my player is stupid enough to just trip over a player lying on the floor or it is a bug. And surely, if that happened in a real game of football, the ref would have given a foul on the left winger?

Sounds perfectly fine to me. These things happen in the real game. If SI removed these little random incidents the game would just be a sanitised version or robotic football where no one ever makes a mistake. No thanks, I like it the way it is. In fact I wish there were loads more "human-like" mistakes in the game to give it an even more realistic feel.

Fair enough, then I shall just proceed to berate my player for being an idiot and costing me the win!

May be it's realistic but I don't think SI intentionally implemented these incidences in the game. It's definitely a bug.
