Man who knows his laptops needed!

Well basically just heard from my Dad that my laptops motherboard is buggered so i'm going to need to get a new one, problem is that i only have around £350- i know i'm not going to get a top of the range laptop for that price but was wondering weather you could look around the internet and just see if there was a decent laptop for around that price- would be greatly apprciated- wont be playing fm on the 5th then

Is there any way you can scratch up a bit more? As a £500 laptop will probably last you more than twice as long as a £350 laptop before you end up having to get a new one.

Can't 350 is pretty much all i got for like 6 months

I have an Intel Celeron 1.86GHz, Windows Vista laptop although I found last year the game was exiting when I was in the middle of a game !!! Was it a bug or is my laptop up to scratch, I'm sure I read last years specs if you had Vista you had to have min 2GHz, I too am worried I'm not going to be able to enjoy the game unless I get my wallet out.

My laptops 1.6GHZ and runs fm2010 and the fm2011 demo fine including 3d. Its a handy cheap 2nd laptop.

Mine is an acer emachines e625 but with a 4gb ram unlike those that I found on search.
