Make Board Request to Sign Player

Has anybody actually been given extra funds to sign a specific player? All I've seen is that <player> is an unrealistic target

A mate of mine was Man City and said the board signed Fabregas for him. £81m I think he said

I got Fabregas for £81m and Torres for £78m on the same Man City experimental game. Scoring goals became very easy with those sort of players, don't think i'll have the same sort of success when I start my WBA game.

I've only had unrealistic target. I tried to get Van Nistelrooy at man city it said it was unrealistic. I didn't think it was really.

Yeah loads of unrealistics however when i found enough money I signed the player anyway. Think it was Portuguese striker Hugo Almeida for Celtic. This I don't think would be an unrealistic target. I got it a lot when I was Liverpool, when a 7m player is unrealistic you know you're in the deep brown!

happened with me too but i was after torres

i got fabregas for city for 81 million when i "only" had a budget of 70 mil, also, the board at Forest signed Peter Whittingham for me for 1.4 million when i had less than 500k to spend

I convinced my board at Barcelona to buy Wesley Sneijder - which they did for 105 million euros. A bit steep, I thought.

I said I needed an extra 10mil to by Kaka for 30mil i think & they said yes but my budget went down to £0?

I've had the advice during an attempt to sign a player on loan to let my board negotiate the deal. I click on the button and basicly the board said they do not have the funds in so many words..... I'm not asking for funds, i just want to get him in on loan! Si needs to look at this.

Got Dzeko for Milan at 23.5M. Seems to be a bit on the cheap side (compared to the 30-40M that Wolfsburg were reportedly asking for irl). No complaints from me though. He was worth about 7M at the time.

Lloris for 45 million for United! Absolute nuts, give me that much and I can sign 3 class players for that
