How do you get the board to handle purchasing a player? FM2011

I've heard people say that they have let their board handle signing a particular player.

So far as Blackburn I have been unable to find where to go to start this process.

Is it club specific etc?

Any help would be great.

It sometimes gives you the chance to request this when an offer for a player is turned down. I don't know why you can't request it every time though.

All I've seen is that you can ask your board for more funds

I had it straight off, I right clicked on Rooney, went to offer and there was a section on the right, towards the top. "Ask board" or something. It went to some dialogue about why Rooney would be a good signing, I wasn't too convinced myself so I didn't try hard and they declined to make an offer.

It has to be an important signing for a club of your reputation, I believe.

When you bid beyond your means i.e. you have 40m kitty but want Torres for 60m when the bid is rejected you will get an option to use the board. did this with Man C to get fabregas, Arsenal wanted over 100m board got him for 80m, thought i could keep doing it but its a bit like requesting feeder club on fm10

I had 30m rejected fo De Gea so decided to let my board take control over any deal.

They ended up paying At.Madrid £80m!
