Clubs buying old players?

Im not sure if its a bug or what but in the demo big clubs like chelsea, Everton are buying someone like Pires(37), Senna(33) for 2-4mil with 30k/week wage bill?!

Pires and Senna are still good players, especially for Everton. Maybe they felt the cheaper alternative to a top class young player was a better decision. Not a bug.

Roberto Carlos has been joining Birmingham in some peoples saves as well. He is amazing for a 37 year old in the game though

Think pires went to west brom in my game. Senna did go to Chelsea. They are still good players in the game though

Roberto Carlos joined Fiorentina in my game. Though he is 37, his stats are amazing, so it's not a problem

Pires is still good enough for the EPL and on a free transfer it's not a bad deal. Senna will do the business for one season and will be a good tutor.

Bearing in mind that Makelele joined Chelsea at a fairly senior age in real life, the Senna deal doesn't seem too unrealistic.

It could have something to do with, the little database.

I am noticing a lot of older players being signed, probably because they offer proper value for money compared to younger players.

Depending on which version of the demo you have the number of available players can be pretty low. Most of the unattached players are going to be older high reputation players, and younger low reputation players won't have been loaded on a small database.
