Why do most of these players dont show in my game. its all done from editor so im miffed why??

as they arent all on the english database, it eould be better for you to wait until mightyowl releases his next english update and you will have the most up to date database

I'm still struggling with editing clubs on the FMH '07 editor. I used to know but have since forgotten. Even though this thread is for FMH '08, I'd appreciate it if someone was able to help me out here.

it is practicall y the same apart from not being able to change players names and dates of birth

I think I've gone wrong somewhere with the scripts, but if I am, I can't tell what it is I'm doing wrong.

as i found out it need to be stockportcounty,boltonwanderers etc

Gah, this is so confusing, especially for me, I'm about as close to the defintion of "technologically challenged" as you'll get. Do you have the club editor template for the 2007 game there by any chance mate?

Ahh, I've sorted it now. I put the club's full names in between the quotation marks and changed "English Premier League" to "English Premier Division".

Lucky i checked! I tried to change Paul Anderson into me in the game but when i made a new game it was still him.

Im guessing this was because he's on loan, is this right?

Im not 100% but I dont see why that would make a difference.. see if you can get it to work with another player

FAO Marc, re making players loan deals permanent;

Marc, hope you can answer my questions.

The following players are all on loan at a club and have now had the deal made permanent.

Ryan Shawcross Man Utd-Stoke

Ishmael Miller Man City-West Brom

Lee Peltier L'pool-Yeovil

and I also tried to Make Curtis Davies and Scott Carson's loan deals permanent.

When using the standard line for a player, eg;

"PLAYER""Ryan" "Shawcross" "Manchester United" "" "" "" "" "" "Stoke" he becomes a free agent.

I got round this by using the following lines for each player;

"PLAYER""Ryan" "Shawcross" "Manchester United" "" "" "" "" "" "free" &

This 'format' gave me varying results,

Ryan Shawcross and Lee Peltier succesfully transferred to their new clubs, Ishmael Miller and Curtis Davis became free agent and (wait for it) Scott Carson transferred to Aston Villa but there was two Scott Carsons in the team!

Any ideas/solutions/comments Marc?

They can get edited if you get their full name. However, we can't edit their names but Marc is looking into this for next year.

Is there a specific order you need to follow to make updates work? I used the editor to:

1. Rename a team

2. Add players to this team

3. Remove its old players.

Is anything wrong with that order? And players joining the new named club should they be assigned to the new name or the old one?

I know that this works:

1. Rename a team

2. Remove the players from the team using the new name e.g. renaming arsenal rtv

3. Adding the new players
