Frustrating Crash

My OPS is Windows Xp

Game loads up fine etc however, every time I click on any player, the game just crashes and takes me back to windows. Its obviously frustrating but oh well its a demo. I have the 'crash dumps' files if anybody wants them?

I Installed, re-installed the strawberry version of the demo of steam. I got rid of all the graphics packs etc. And still no difference. No matter what player it is, the demo just crashes as soon as i try and access the players attributes page?

Please could you answer this question because I have the same problem. When I click on the profile of any player happens to me crash dumps. Thanks in advance!

I've got exact the same problem, its very frustrating! i've windows 7 though so its not specific to xp, suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Which FAQ? there are several and none seem to relate to FM11 Demo.

i also have the same problem, the demo is totally unplayable.

He means the FM2011 demo FAQ, here in the sticky.

I've found it now yes, still though, it doesn't actually have anything to do with this problem in it.

i get this message after the crash.

You get no dump on the error? That would do it for SI.

Just to Add, clearing the cache didnt work.

This seems to ahve fixed it for me.

I am receiving an XML error when attempting to play the game?

First of all you need to turn on hidden files and folders.

XP:

My Computer

'Tools'

'Folder Options'.

The go to the 'View' tab and select 'Show hidden files and folders'

Windows Vista and Windows 7:

My Computer

'Organize'

'Folder and Search Options'.

The go to the 'View' tab and select 'Show hidden files and folders'

Delete the following folder:

XP:

C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2011 Demo\Settings

Vista/Win7:

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2011 Demo\Settings

I am getting the same error virtually every time I try to play a match, i followed the above advice to delete the roaming folder, but that doesn't change anything. If I go on holiday instead of playing the match then the crash does not happen.
