Save game wont load

i saved my game and closed the lid of my laptop without shutting the game down or my laptop. i came back 15mins later and opened up the lid but nothing happened. i had to shut the laptop down and start it up again but now when i try to reload the game it says it cannot reload the game and the screen starts changing resolution.

is there any way of gettng my game back, please help me =(

Do you have the rolling save option enabled in preferences? If not then you'll probably have to start again.

i think i might cry, i have a save file from a couple of months back from an auto save, but i was on a bit of a streak not sure i have the motivation to do it agian.

Unless you have rolling save option on you have lost your game. I've done it before and ever since i have always used the rolling save option.

I also make sure that the game gets saved after every match that way you wont have to go back too far.
