ssestig
This is more a General Discussion item but try getting someone in who is on his favoured personnel or any German.
craven1
i have never bought him personally, but of the myriad of leave of absences i have granted i have never had anyone not return or ask to leave after going on one. *edit: in FM2010 that is. joe__the__man
I've found granting leave rarely solves the problem. Just grin and bear it, keep playing him.

stinger061
Just ask him to reccommend a player/staff member and then sign them up, should solve the problem
dontask
when i had a new player saying he was unsettled for me, i offered him an improved contract and not had a moan since!
Koki
I've found granting leave rarely solves the problem. Just grin and bear it, keep playing him. .. and within a year he should settle in.
Nottingham Forest
Just ask him to reccommend a player/staff member and then sign them up, should solve the problem when i had a new player saying he was unsettled for me, i offered him an improved contract and not had a moan since! .. and within a year he should settle in. Doesnt always work. Sometimes the player will never settle and you may just have to sell him.

rich10
Neymar had trouble adjusting to life in the north-west and so i allowed home for a month, he returned as promised and vowed to knuckle down. So it worked for me...
Magnakai Haaskivi
Pretty much every time this happens I just ignore it; I had a Chinese centerback stay unhappy for a year, but then he just kind of magically got over it.
GioGio85
Give him time. I once signed Gourcoff for Spurs and after some decent but unspectacular performances in the 1st season (where he failed to settle into English life), he then tore it up in hisd season with some exceptional performances. I find that once a player has been in a country long enough they will settle down. To speed this up you can do some of the things that have been suggested above ie. grant leave, sign a compatriot, offer a new contract etc.
Kain
Never had a player still failing to settle in after a year, and I don't bother doing anything to help either.
